Domino Inks and Solvents (Fluids)
Choosing the right ink for your application is as important as choosing the printer. The choice of ink affects not only the quality of the printed message but also assures the performance of your printer. With a portfolio of over 150 inks, each specially formulated to offer proven performance in the Domino ink jet printer range. Whatever the application, from hot and humid conditions to cold, damp or dusty environments, there is a tried and tested Domino fluid available.
Domino inks can print onto an array of substrates including plastics, metal, paper, glass, porous cartons and directly onto food products. Available in a wide range of colours and for specialist applications, such as food-grade, UV-fluorescent, UV-cure and thermochromic, the ink range ensures that whatever the application there is a well engineered Domino ink to support it.

Thermal Transfer (TTO) and Hot Foil Stamping Ribbon

The V-Series range of thermal transfer over-print (TTO) printers is supported by a comprehensive range of ribbons. They are available in a range of grades and colours, as well as a range of widths and lengths.

Domino ribbons are formulated to provide excellent print quality for a wide variety of substrates and printing speeds. End user properties include resistance to heat, smudge, scratch, chemical and light to ensure that the codes remain legible (and machine readable) throughout their lifetime. Using Domino ribbons will also maximise print head life.
Ribbons are available in 4 grades: Wax/Resin 1, Wax/Resin 2, Wax/Resin 3 and Resin 1.
The Grade describes the properties of the thermal transfer ink layer. All ribbons are constructed from a common, high strength carrier which minimises ribbon breaks and a common low-friction back coating which increases printhead life by minimising printhead wear and static build-up. All V-Series ribbons include a metallic Domino-branded leader tape that is fixed to the take-up spool: this eases and speeds up ribbon change overs.
V-Series ribbons are suitable for printing onto a wide range of flexible materials including plastics, carton, paper, labels, and tyvek.
